E is for Etsy
I love Etsy. I love to shop there for unique handmade items. You can search for almost anything you can think of and you'll find it. Stuff from all over the world. I'm amazed at what people sell. Steampunk, vintage, jewelry, scrumptious hand spun and hand dyed yarns, clothes, shoes, makeup, and even food.
And I love having my shop on Etsy. Every day I learn new things about selling and marketing. I've been really active the last year on Etsy, really trying to make it successful and my products have improved so much.
Etsy has so many wonderful things to help you grow as a seller if you take advantage of it. Join teams, make treasuries, read the Etsy blog and put as much of it as you can into practice and you will notice a BIG difference. I have.
Post links to your shops in the comments so I can visit and see what you have to offer.

I adore Etsy as well. I keep visiting it over and over again. I wish I had unlimited money to spend there. . .but hey, if you buy stuff from MY Etsy shop maybe I will.

Cute stuff in your shop. Thanks for stopping by
ReplyDeleteOne day I want an etsy shop, I just feel I got nothing really to offer. I am jealous of people with their cute products!
ReplyDeleteYou could sell your doodles. I'm serious. I see stuff like that for sale all the time.
DeleteI have an Etsy shop but I haven't reopened it b/c there are just so many fees. Fee for listing, fee to transfer to pay pal, fee from pay pal to my bank account. I end up making no money.
ReplyDeletePricing is the hardest thing to figure out. How to sell something so you make a profit but your products are still in an accessible price range. Still I think Etsy's fees are reasonable.
DeleteMaybe you could try Store envy. http://www.storenvy.com/open-a-store
I think their fees are less
The way they have the fees set up now, if you are selling multiple of one item you can list them all and you are only charged if the items sell. Like I recently listed 6 hair roses https://www.etsy.com/listing/127903959/rosy-posy-hair-clips-in-red but they only charge me .20 for the original listing even though they are multiple items. That makes it more reasonable, so instead of being charged $1.60, it's $.20.
DeleteThat's what I do too. If it's something I make over and over I list it 10 at a time. Then I'm only charged $0.20 for all ten items.
DeleteI love to visit Etsy and will go and check out your stuff now. I like those beanies already, too bad winter is over. But there's always next year.
